This spetacular burr walnut credenza that has vivid red velvet fabric to the shelving which makes this piece even more dramatic . The central door which has beautiful inlay is then flanked either side with shaped fronted glazed doors with ormolu moulding opening to reveal two fixed shelves inside, the columns at the front of the credenza are decorated . This stunning glass fronted mahogany display cabinet that has two doors to the front and rounded glass to the sides for extra light. The cabinet has wooden beading to the doors , with two glass shelves inside , below to the centre is a drop down front for smaller items. The top of the cabinet has inlay of satinwood and boxwood this continues onto the doors and edges of the cabinets, on both sides of the cabinet is a beautiful design to give the cabinet that extra elegance. This James Mc Cabe Fine curl mahogany longcase clock , comes with a fully overhauled eight day movement , painted 12 inch dial with Roman numerals and blue steel hands , with original winding key. The clock has viewing panels to the side of the hood and brass inserts to the canted corners, the hood also has a brass finial to the top . The clock is fitted with weight driven movement striking the hours on a bell, with the addition of a silent and strike lever. Additional information:- James Mc Cabe was one of the most celebrated clock makers of the 18th/19th century renowned for his craftsmanship, precision and elegant designs. James Mc Cabe was commissioned to make a clock for the President of the United States of America George Washington and a pocket watch for the first Viscount Horatio Nelson .
