This stunning Queen Anne , walnut bureau bookcase having a swan neck pediment , with fine cross cut mouldings and herringbone inlays . The top bookcase section with plate glass mirrors , reveals behind , a large top section for manuscripts , pigeon holes under , adjustable upright sections with the finest walnut lined drawers under. The bookcase has an adjustable cabinet behind the mirror doors which are inside with gold gilt corinthian coloums , engraved hinges and escutcheons . The centre of the bookcase which is the bureau has eight pigeon holes with very fine walnut lined herringbone inlaid drawers , large cupboard behind mirror door, pull out columns and has a very rare large secret department this also has pull out candle slides. The lower section of the bookcase has three small drawers , two medium and two large drawers all with cross cut mouldings, and herringbone inlay , gold gilt swan neck handles standing on bracket feet. The bureau has its original keys and locks.

This James Mc Cabe Fine curl mahogany longcase clock , comes with a fully overhauled eight day movement , painted 12 inch dial with Roman numerals and blue steel hands , with original winding key. The clock has viewing panels to the side of the hood and brass inserts to the canted corners, the hood also has a brass finial to the top . The clock is fitted with weight driven movement striking the hours on a bell, with the addition of a silent and strike lever. Additional information:- James Mc Cabe was one of the most celebrated clock makers of the 18th/19th century renowned for his craftsmanship, precision and elegant designs. James Mc Cabe was commissioned to make a clock for the President of the United States of America George Washington and a pocket watch for the first Viscount Horatio Nelson . This wonderful carved mahogany country house leather upholstered armchairs which have been hand dyed to a wonderful light honey colour. The back and seat cushions are feathered which makes the chairs extremely comfortable. The cushions are complimented by scroll armrests that are supported by carved mahogany legs, leading down to a hairy claw foot, to the centre of the frame is a carved shell . The sofa has been upholstered in the traditional manner with a fine quality hand dyed and antiqued leather hyde decorated with an individual solid brass nail studwork finish. These armchairs would compliment a lounge, study dining room, dressing room, library , or even a large kitchen. This spetacular bureau bookcase which is very unusual with walnut and boxwood crossbanding, gold gilt handles and pulls all original, oak lined drawers with tan leather hide on writing department, four long drawers to base and smaller drawers to internal compartment the dome top section has original glass with drawers and adjustable pigeon holes to either side of the glass . This beautiful mahogany regency longcase clock by the maker JN0 LANE LONDON which is engraved on the face this clock has an eight day movment with second and calender dials dating to circa 1810 with a dome top hood with brass vents to the side of the hood. The case is all in a fine golden mahogany colour inside is two brass weights and the top of the clock has a brass finial . All is excellent working order.
