A fine domestic Scottish regulator by l. Cross of Edinburgh. The eight day duration movement with dead beat escapement, and maintaing power with a round silvered dial complemented with blued steel hands and second sweep. The large 7 inch bob pendulum with screw beat adjustment to the top and large regulator nut to bottom, calibrated down to 1/24 of a turn for fine adjustment encrusted 1852 on the brass bob with a polished brass single weight and pully.
The plain mahogany case of fine proportions and a rich colour and patination, glazed door displaying weight pendulum and beat scale with original keys.
